RAA Soweto students were invited to enter the University of Johannesburg's Vice Chancellor Innovative Idea competition. Students were required to submit a mini business plan for evaluation by a panel of business professionals. The top 10 winners received a prize package designed to help them launch their businesses.

Of the 110 innovative business ideas that were submitted..., only 40 business ideas made it to final selection, of which 7 were from RAA Soweto!!!!

Two RAA students (in a partnership) received 3rd prize and another student achieved 7th place. RAA students won a total of R50 000 prize money!

Well done to Euginia Mabaza (RAA Soweto programme co-ordinator) and the students. Great achievement!
